    Done a little search while on my travels and found this little gem of a place a decided to give it a whirl! There is plenty of parking here, so not a problem. This place is a all you can eat style of buffet. Walk in go to the counter and pay, they give you your drink cup, turn left you'll find the paper plates and ice machine. To the right is the buffet. All this food is well seasoned, fried meat grease, ham hock, etc. The menu changes each day I assume. On the day I went they had, fried green tomatoes, butter beans, pigs feet, fried pork, fried chicken, cabbage, mac-n-cheese, bread pudding, corn bread, spaghetti, garlic bread, lemon cake and pineapple cake. All of this food will make your taste buds dance, this is some really GOOD southern home cooking! The gentleman came by and picked up our trash while we sat bloated from I've eating. All You Can Eat 13.00+tax, includes drink and dessert. So by and give them a try, 2 thumbs up from me!

    Love this place, best soul food around, I don't mind driving 30 miles up from Raleigh. The all-you-can-eat element gives you the chance to try a little bit of everything which I recommend that you do. The food is great of course, the people are very friendly, the turkey wings, smothered pork chops, and the turnip greens are my favorites but be sure to try the honey bun cake which is exactly what it sounds like. And hey, if you ever wanted to try pigs feet this is the place to do it! Don't let the modest accommodations deter you, everybody knows you don't get the best soul food at a country club!

    Punching above its weight, this hometown hideaway delivers. With friendly attentive service and superb food at a great price ($12 for my ayce lunch buffet), I most definitely will be back on future road trips. Just under 10 mins off I-85, it’s worth the mini detour to make this one of your pit stops. If you are a fan of bread pudding, their glazed strawberry as well as their pineapple were both knockouts. Sit down, relax, and feed your soul

    We had a great lunch here. The buffet was awesome. All home cooked. If you are looking for good home/country cooking this is the place.

    If you're looking for Real Soul Food this is the place. They will have you loosening your belt! The food is seasoned and cooked to perfection. It's The food is Southern Style Soul food, it doesn't get any better than this. Now there's nothing fancy about the building however don't let that fool you, trust me you won't be disappointed!

    Absolutely fantastic place. The buffet is excellent and there's great options. There wasn't anything on it I didn't like. It was all fantastic -- some of the best soul food I've found anywhere in the area. The buffet is a fantastic value. Ate there at lunch and it was $12 and included self-service drinks (lemonade, Kool-Aid and tea). The service was friendly and helpful. Very family oriented vibe. I will be going here often.

    One of the best soul food restaurants I have experienced. Believe me when I say that you will not regret having a meal at a Taste Of Souls Restaurant, or Welcome to Grandma's House. Prepare yourself for the ideal comfort food. With very friendly service and a real comfortable atmosphere.
